Advising for art majors and minors is done by art faculty members. Students may select their own advisors, or may stop by the Art Department to be assigned to an advisor.

The advisor will facilitate the student’s smooth passage through his/her educational experience. Students must consult their advisors each semester before registration to discuss their program, especially when they have completed 60 or 90 semester units.

When coming to an advising appointment, students should always bring the University Catalog, transcripts from previous colleges attended, their CSU Dominguez Hills grade records, and their Certificate of Admission and Evaluation.
