Regarding the History Program in the University Catalog

Please note that the current CSUDH catalog is the 2007-2009 edition. Unfortunately the most recent catalog available online is the prior one, for 2005-2007. Departments are required to link to the official online catalog rather than posting their own version of courses.

Courses and course descriptions as listed in the 2005-2007 catalog are still correct. But much of the rest of the information in the History Department section has been updated, as noted below:

• Several faculty have retired and new professors have been hired since the 2005-2007 catalog was printed. See the Faculty web page on this site for current information.
• The History-Social Science Single Subject Matter Preparation Program has been completely revamped. While students currently in the program still have time to finish under the old program as represented in the 2005-2007 catalog, new students should only consult the new program as represented on the Prospective Teachers page on this website.
• The Minor in History has been revised. It still requires 15 units, but only requires students to take one specific course (HIS 300). HIS 490 is no longer required.
